This hotel says...

As you arrive you will discover an intimate, private and romantic hideaway on the ocean. From almost every angle full panoramic views of the bay, and the picturesque, peaceful fishing village of Zihuatanejo will enchant you. Like an exquisite cliff-side village, our dramatic multi-tiered architecture is fashioned with adobe, native colors, palapas, tropical woods and Mexican handicrafts. A swim in our infinity pool is similar to a dream-like experience and our salt water pool on the ocean, surrounded by the rocks, is unique. Whether having room service or lunch and dinner at our restaurant, you will discover an endless array of flavors from our authentic Mexican cuisine. Our staff is committed to make every interaction special. We are Small Private Romantic Attentive to Details La Casa Que Canta is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.

Juicy Tidbits

Travel + Leisure says..."Pure romance of the white-wine-at-sunset and walk-on-the-beach variety is the allure at this 25-suite hideaway above La Ropa Beach. All rooms have a cool Mexican contemporary vibe, ample ocean views, and private terraces (televisions are notably absent); 11 have private plunge pools. Because of the hotel's construction—made up of three terra-cotta-colored villas built into a terraced hillside overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay—there are lots of secluded decks and hidden corners, perfect for canoodling couples or sunbathers. Of the two pools, our favorite is the saltwater expanse: It's adjacent to the beach is filled naturally by the sea. Lounge there in the evening as the sun sets into the Pacific." ~From

Conde Nast Traveler says..."With terra-cotta walls and thatched roofs, these multi-tiered adobe dwellings on a cliff above Zihuatanejo are "outstanding in every sense": The cascading architecture takes advantage of the contours of the "breathtaking rocky setting." Rooms have petal-strewn bedspreads, Mexican folk art, and oversized pink marble showers. Staff are so good, "all hotel chain owners should come here for a week to see the Nordstrom of service." Enjoy daiquiris at the bar at sunset before taking a dip in the saltwater pool and the adjoining whirlpool by the sea." ~From
