This hotel says...

At the heart of the cabernet-sauvignon- merlot and chardonnay vines of Napa Valley- the French restaurateur Claude Rouas has created a discreet and elegant hotel hidden amongst a grove of olive trees that evoke his love of Provence in the South of France. A handful of houses perched on the hillside offer spacious -maisons- with private terraces where aged French oak floors- colorful chenille fabrics- abstract paintings and fireplaces create an air of romance. The Mediterranean-inspired cuisine features the very best of the region and the spa- which also draws its cue from the land- proposes treatments based on grapes- olives- herbs- flowers- mud and minerals. The 15-000 bottles in the wine cellar promise an oenophiles journey to the wine heaven as you watch the sun setting on the horizon. CLUB 5C- Hotel welcomes Relais and Chateaux Club 5C members with a VIP Welcome and a Discovery Privilege. Please include the Club 5C membership number in the reservation and please show your Club 5C membership card on arrival.

Juicy Tidbits

Travel + Leisure says..."The first modern boutique resort to open in Napa Valley—back in 1985—is still one of the area’s best. From the outside, Auberge’s sandstone-colored villas, scattered among 33 acres of olive groves, evoke the terraced houses of the French Riviera; inside, the 50 rooms continue the theme with Balinese recycled wood floors and rattan ceiling fans, fabrics in Mediterranean hues, wood-burning fireplaces, and French doors leading to private verandas. The treatments at the 7,000-square-foot spa all incorporate ingredients harvested from the local hillsides (an especially delicious option: the Meyer lemon–olive oil massage). And the hotel’s eponymous restaurant—where chef Robert Curry serves seasonal, regionally sourced dishes like orange glazed suckling pig with broccoli rabe, peanuts and pickled mustard seed—still packs in the foodies, as it has for a quarter-century. ~From Travelandleisure.com

Conde Nast Traveler says..."This “outstanding luxury hotel” is set on 33 acres of vineyards and olive groves—“the views are spectacular.” “Sumptuous cottages” done in sun and earth tones have wood-burning fireplaces and refrigerators stocked with local wines and cheeses; bathrooms come with skylights and flat-screen TVs. The “stunning restaurant” serves wine-country cuisine with French Mediterranean influences, and its terrace has heaters for dining out on cool evenings. Enjoy Italian ices and chilled towels at the pool and Reiki at La Pagode, an Asian-style pavilion. The hotel manager “takes care of business and addresses issues without breaking a sweat.”" ~From CondeNastTraveler.com

Every stay is memorable at the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris which defines fine service in the city of light.

Juicy Tidbits

Travel + Leisure says..."In an unbeatable location near the Champs-Élysées, this majestic 1928 white-stone hotel redefined elegance when it reopened its doors as a Four Seasons in 1997. Today, it’s tops with couture-clad jet-setters and bons vivants seeking a hushed city retreat with all the modern conveniences. Guests are greeted—and treated—to an eyeful of blooms upon arrival in the marble lobby; expect a sumptuous flurry of Flemish tapestries, crystal chandeliers, 19th-century furniture, and brocade fabrics throughout the public spaces. The 244 spacious rooms (doubles average a spacious 500 square feet) echo the same luxe detailing, and many rooms have private terraces overlooking the courtyard and rooftops beyond. And a heaven-can-wait full-service hotel spa adjoins an indoor pool ringed by a mural of the gardens at Versailles. But it’s chef Eric Briffard—who oversees the hotel’s Michelin two-starred restaurant, Le Cinq—who approaches godliness for his divine creations: red tuna tartar with caviar and tangy wasabi apples and dark chocolate instant with salted peanut cake. Lucky are the diners who can float upstairs to their rooms." ~From Travelandleisure.com

Conde Nast Traveler says..."The lobby alone is worth the trip.” This 1928 white-stone Art Deco landmark with an inner courtyard, near the Champs-Élysées, is where “the magic of Paris comes to life.” Public spaces are done in shades of beige, off-white, and pale gray, and feature Norwegian wood paneling and seventeenth-century tapestries from Flanders. “Amazing rooms” designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon are illuminated by chandeliers and have classic French furniture, rich fabrics, and reproductions of Renaissance art. “The floral arrangements in the rooms are works of genius”; some rooms have private balconies or terraces. In addition to French cuisine, Le Cinq has “an attractive bar with top service.”" ~From cntraveler.com

This hotel says...

Above the crowds set on the 35th to 39th floors of the Mandalay Bay tower and accessed exclusively by Four Seasons express elevators. The high position and floor-to-ceiling windows ensure unsurpassed vistas of the scenic mountains and desert, the pool and gardens, and the glittering Las Vegas Strip. Each generously proportioned room bears all the thoughtful Four Seasons touches. Sitting areas includes an executive writing desk, comfortable seating, 42-inch (107-centimetre) plasma screen television and DVD player. For communication convenience, two-line telephones and high-speed Internet access are standard. The signature marble bathroom features a deep soaking tub and separate glass-enclosed shower.

Juicy Tidbits

Travel + Leisure says..."The first hotel to open in Vegas without a casino (it debuted, somewhat ironically, in a tower adjacent to Mandalay Bay in 1999), the Four Seasons is arguably still the best of this growing breed. The property’s location at the south end of the Strip means it’s already removed from much of the city’s chaos—but the sense of sanctuary is reinforced by the hotel’s hushed marble entrance, relatively painless check-in (so much quicker than at the hotel-casinos), express elevator, and gorgeous, garden-surrounded pool. Rooms are decorated with typical Four-Seasons elegance: graceful dark-wood tables and desks, overstuffed chairs and ottomans upholstered in silk and velvet, marble baths. Charlie Palmer Steakhouse is just off the lobby, while Verandah, the hotel’s indoor-outdoor restaurant, is a hot Sunday brunch ticket. Golfers get priority tee times at Bali Hai Golf Club next door. ~From Travelandleisure.com

Conde Nast Traveler says..."“I’ve stayed at other hotels in Vegas but will never stay anywhere else after my amazing experience here.” A non-gaming hotel on five floors of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, it has dog-friendly rooms in neutral hues with down bedding, marble bathrooms, and views of the city or the desert terrain to the south. The Sunrise/Sunset suites have 180-degree views of Vegas and the surrounding mountains. “This place is five-star all the way.” The weekend breakfast buffet at Verandah has a make-your-own-doughnut machine; for dinner, Italian is the norm. “The spa is one of the best I’ve ever experienced, with the most fantastic staff.”" ~From CondeNastTraveler.com
